The Iranian ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan stressed the need to expand the transit route of goods with Azerbaijan.

Iran Press/Asia: Seyed Abbas Mousavi, Iran's ambassador to Azerbaijan, in his tweet on Thursday after visiting the International Port of Baku said that the prospect of diversifying transit routes between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan is promising.

Referring to the activity of Iranian ships in this port, Mousavi added: "Using Roro ships in the Caspian Sea is a need today and tomorrow."

Baku International Port has been operating as one of the largest ports in the Caspian Sea since 1956, through which oil and petroleum products, construction materials, agricultural products and other goods are transported.
