Amirabdullahian, referring to the 90-year-old history of diplomatic relations between Iran and Hungary, said: "The policy of the Iranian parliament is based on increasing interactions at various levels with friendly countries, including Hungary."

He stressed: "There are many potentials in the fields of agriculture, tourism, technical and engineering services to improve the level of relations between Iran and Hungary."

He also thanked the Hungarian government for its cooperation and assistance in solving the problem of a number of Iranian students following the Coronavirus pandemic.

For his part, the Hungarian Ambassador to Iran emphasized the importance of developing relations and cooperation between the two countries in the economic, educational and cultural fields, saying: "Hungary will spare no effort to strengthen relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and expansion of bilateral interactions is on the agenda of the Hungarian government and parliament."

Zoltan Varga-Haszonits also welcomed the expansion of Hungarian-Iranian relations in political, cultural, scientific, and technological fields, and called for the strengthening of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
