Intl. Conference of the Eurasian Economic Union kicks off

Iran (IP) - The International Conference of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Geopolitical Role of Free Trade Zones in Development of Regional Relations began in Anzali Port, northern Iran, to boost Iran's customs cooperation with the members of the EAEU.

Iran PressIran news: The conference is held to expertly examine the problems ahead of economic actors in maximizing the capacities and opportunities of Iran's customs cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union members, relying on the capabilities of Iranian and foreign researchers.

Several Iranian and foreign officials attend the one-day conference, which began on Tuesday under the health protocols. 

The Eurasian Economic Union is an international organization for regional economic integration. It has an international legal personality and is established by the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union.

The EAEU provides for free movement of goods, services, capital and labor, pursues coordinated, harmonized, and single policy in the sectors determined by the treaty and international agreements within the union.
