Iran, Afghanistan stress holding forum of economic cooperation commission

Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Minister of Energy and Afghan officials stressed the need to hold a meeting of the Joint Economic Cooperation Commission as soon as possible.

Iran PressAsia: Iranian Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Economic Cooperation Commission Reza Ardakanian, Afghanistan’s Political Deputy Foreign Minister Mirveis Nab, and Deputy Minister of Finance Mohammad Issa Qodrat met on Monday and discussed the time of holding the meeting of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation and reviewing the cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Ardakanian, Nab, and Qodrat also talked about following up projects in the field of renewable energy and construction of wind power plants on the border of Iran and Afghanistan as well as the signing of a contract and implementation of the projects.

Afghanistan’s Political Deputy Foreign Minister Mirveis Nab for his part appreciated Tehran’s supports of Kabul and said that the President of Afghanistan, emphasizing the expansion of economic relations with Iran, issued the necessary orders to pursue the projects of common interests as soon as possible.
