Lincang (IP) - An Iranian short film, “Lowest Floor,” won the Golden Statue of the international section of Asia Microfilm Art Festival in China held in Yunnan's southwest city Lincang.

Iran PressAsia: The festival is one of the most important films and cinematic events in Yunnan.

The Lowest Floor, directed by Omidreza Kheirkhah, was selected as the Best International Work at the 8th Asia Microfilm Art Festival and won the Golden Statue of the International Section.

Lowest Floor narrates the story of a wonderful space in the middle of the forest where there is a hut and an old man and an old woman live in there. It’s yalda night (the longest night of the Iranian year,) and they are waiting for their children to have a nice night together.

The old man complains that the children won't come, but the old woman hopes they will.

At the end of the film, children’s voices are heard, but we will face a sad scene.

Films from France, Ireland, Tajikistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan also participated in the festival's international section.
