Qeshm (IP) - Qeshm Global Geopark Museum is one of the important tourist attractions of the Hormozgan Province in southern Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Qeshm Global Geopark Museum introduces tourists to the history and ecology of the Iranian island by simulating (model, taxidermy) samples of the natural bed of Qeshm Island.

The museum has been registered in the world as one of the geosites of Qeshm Geopark with 3000 specimens of different taxidermy species of animals that provide interpretive geological and biological information to tourists.

The museum is one of the 25 registered geosites of Qeshm Global Geopark and is the main destination of domestic and foreign tourists traveling to this island.

Director of the Qeshm Global Geopark Museum Alireza Amri Kazemi said that 95% of the specimens in the museum are related to the geography and climate of Qeshm Island.

He noted that the taxidermy specimen of a dwarf insectivore as the smallest and a sea whale as the world's largest mammal at the museum is very amazing.
