Iraqi MP:
Resolution to expel US troops must be implemented

A member of the Iraqi Parliament's Security and Defense Committee stressed that no matter who the president of the United States is, the resolution to expel US troops from Iraq must be implemented.

Iran PressMiddle East: Kate' al-Rikabi, a member of the Iraqi Parliament's Security and Defense Committee, said: "Whether Donald Trump or Joe Biden is the next US president, the expulsion of US troops cannot be revoked because it has been approved by the Iraqi parliament and is binding," Almaalomah News Agency reported on Sunday.

Al-Rikabi stated the expulsion of US troops from Iraq was the will of the Iraqi people, adding that the Baghdad government should work to provide a timetable for it.

The US occupation forces have been stationed in various parts of Iraq for the past several years.

The Iraqi people have repeatedly stated their opposition to the US occupation of Iraq, and the Iraqi parliament has already passed a resolution emphasizing the need for foreign troops to leave the country.
