Madrid (IP) - During the meeting of Iran's ambassador to Spain and the president of the Congress of Deputies of Spain, the two sides emphasized the development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation, especially in the parliamentary field.

Iran PressEurope: Speaking at a meeting with the President of the Congress of Deputies of Spain Merichel Batet on Friday, Iran's Ambassador to Madrid Hassan Qashqavi said the two countries could increase cooperation, especially in the field of exchange of parliamentary experience and delegations.

Batet said for her part that the culture and history of the Iranian civilization have a special place in the minds and hearts of the Spanish people, stressing bilateral efforts to introduce the two great and historical civilizations of Iran and Spain to each other's nations as much as possible.

The two sides also discussed the latest regional and international developments, including the global fight against COVID-19 and the fight against extremism and international terrorism.
