Muslims of Italy protested the French president's Islamophobic remarks

Following the insult to the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) by the French President Emmanuel Macron, the Muslims of Italy held a demonstration with performing the Friday prayers with open azan.

Iran PressEurope: The exceptional protest was held in Rome, Italy on Friday. In the meantime, the police prevented protesters to besiege the embassy of France. Later, Italian community leaders held a protest rally in front of the embassy. Numerous people including men and women took part in the protest with placards and banners with various slogans. Later, Jumu’ah prayers were performed in public with Azan.

The speakers in this rally which was participated by Italians and other Muslim immigrants sharply criticized the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

The French president has accused Muslims of separatism and vowed not to give up cartoons depicting Prophet Muhammed.
