American helicopter crashed in al-Hasakah, Syria

Syrian media reported the death of a US-backed Kurdish militant leader and the crash of an American helicopter in Syria's al-Hasakah province.

Iran PressMiddle East: Syria’s Al-Akhbariya reported on Saturday night that a car belonging to one of the leaders of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD), Hawal Riyadh, had exploded and killed him in the al-Nashwa Filat area of northeastern Syria.

Local media in eastern Syria also reported the crash of a US military helicopter in the al-Shadadi area of al-Hasakah province.

The United States has not yet commented on the report.

The northern and northeastern regions of Syria have terrorist groups aligned with Turkey, also includes US-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF or QSD in Arabic) militants which sometimes witness mortar attacks, car bombings, and car bombings.
