Iran and Bosnia boosting ties

Iran's Ambassador to Sarajevo and Bosnian parliament speaker discussed the ways of expanding cooperation, especially in the economic field.

Iran PressEurope: Meeting with Nikola Špirić on Saturday, Iran's ambassador to Sarajevo Reza Qelichkhan considering parliamentary ties between Iran and Bosnia, stressed that meetings of the two countries' parliamentary chairmen and exchange of parliamentary friendship groups are among the issues for which the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to cooperate and develop it. 

Qelichkhan pointed to the good ties between Iran and Bosnia and said that respecting Bosnia's territorial integrity and national sovereignty since the beginning of the independence of Bosnia, the Islamic Republic of Iran has stood by the Bosnian nation and government, supporting the integrity and peaceful co-existence of all Bosnian tribes. 

Nikola Špirić for his part described Iran as a country with a rich culture and kind people and emphasized the expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Referring to the will of the parliamentary officials of Bosnia and Iran to further develop relations, Špirić expressed hope that the relations between the economic actors of the two countries in various fields, especially tourism, transportation, and telecommunications, would be further enhanced.
