Iran Press/ Iran News: The director of an Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Ali-Asghar Saeedi, announced on Friday the new export of saffron extract to Germany, Switzerland, France, New Zealand, and Canada, noting: "The extract is used in pharmaceutical, health and food products."
Iran is the largest producer and exporter of saffron in the world with an annual production of 330 tons and an export of 280 tons.
