Iran Press/ Iran News: Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday visited the northwestern part of the country and visited Iran's borders with Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran has important water and electricity facilities on the Aras border river.
Araghchi added that for the Islamic Republic of Iran, the security of border areas, dams, and border buildings are very important and they are considered as Iran’s red line, and they should not be harmed during the conflict between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia disagree on the Nagorno-Karabakh region; the two countries' dispute over the Nagorno-Karabakh region began in 1988.
A new round of clashes began on September 27, 2020, and a number of forces on both sides were killed or wounded.
Since the beginning of the conflict in the Karabakh region, dozens of mortar shells and rockets have hit Iran's border villages.
