Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday congratulated Luis Alberto Arce Catacora on his election as Bolivia's new president, saying: "The recent election was not only a consolidation of the foundations of democracy but also a glorious demonstration of justice for the great Bolivian people."
The Iranian president also expressed hope that bilateral relations between Iran and Bolivia would expand further in the new era.
Former Morales's economy minister and leader of the Movement for Socialism, Luis Alberto Arce Catacora, won the first round of elections with more than 50 percent of the vote.
