Iran's ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov met on Wednesday to discuss the latest regional and international developments in addition to expanding bilateral cooperation.

Iran PressEurope: Iran's ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali and Igor Morgulov also discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, including energy, agriculture and transportation projects.

No further details have been released on the meeting between the Iranian ambassador to Russia and the Russian deputy foreign minister.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia cooperate closely to address the affairs of the Central Asian region and the South Caucasus, also the two sides regularly consult on the situation in these regions.

Tehran and Moscow also cooperate in other regions, including West Asia, and the interaction between the two countries prevented the victory of Western-backed terrorists in Syria and Iraq along with the relative improvement of the situation in these two Middle Eastern countries.
