Iran (IP) - In the joint specialized air defense 'Velayat-99 Sky Defenders' drills, the Moraqeb and Bashir radars successfully detected and identified various targets over the general area of the exercise.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to the drills' media base, in the implementation of the main phase of the joint specialized air defense 'Velayat-99 Sky Defenders' drills, flying targets over the general area of the drills including manned and unmanned fighters, which had flown from various bases across the country, were successfully identified by the IRGC Aerospace Force's 'Bashir' radar and 'Moraqeb' radar of the Army Air Defense Force.

The 'Moraqeb' (meaning vigilant) indigenous radar system is developed by experts and scientists from Iran's army Army Air Defense Force and is capable of identifying 300 targets in three dimensions simultaneously over a range of 400 km.

The IRGC Aerospace Force's 'Bashir' indigenous radar system is also capable of detecting flying, cruise, and stealth targets within a range of 300 km and an altitude of 30 km, which successfully completed the detection and identification mission at this stage of the drills.
