Tehran (IP) - Referring to the detailed investigation of the Tehran Military Prosecutor's Office into the crash of the Ukrainian plane, Gholamabbas Torki, Tehran's military prosecutor added that this process shows Iran's determination to handle this case fairly and prevent similar incidents.

Iran Press/Iran news: Gholamabbas Torki, Tehran's military prosecutor, on Tuesday night in the second round of talks between the Iranian and Ukrainian judiciary, expressed regret over the crash of a Ukrainian plane and said: "The Judiciary and the Judicial Organization of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have the exclusive legal authority to investigate the case of this accident."

Torki stressed that Iran believes the victims should be compensated equally in accordance with the international conventions to which the Islamic Republic is a party.

In the second round of talks between the Judiciary of Iran and Ukraine, it was agreed to continue and deepen technical and legal cooperation within the framework of the Agreement on Legal and Judicial Cooperation between the two countries.

On January 8, 2020, a passenger plane belonging to Ukrainian Airlines crashed near Tehran, killing 167 passengers and nine crew members.
