Tehran (IP) - Managing Director of Irancell telecommunications company said that more than 11 million people in Iran's rural areas gain access to the company's network coverage.

Iran PressIran News: Bijan Abbasi Arand stated that as a foreign and domestic investment partnership company, Irancell was able to break the mobile phone monopoly in the market and developed new mobile technology.

Pointing that 5G is one of the company's innovations in providing services to customers, he highlighted: "Due to sanctions imposed on Iran, 5G technology was achieved with delay, but this technology will be used as a hotspot in Tehran as soon as possible."

"Another service of Irancell is localizing equipment with domestic manufacturers and knowledge-based companies," the Managing Director of Irancell, stated.

He stressed that other Irancell services to subscribers establish Irancell's dedicated secure network for government organizations, including the Parliament, to set up an intelligent police operator and provide banks and financial institutions' communication infrastructure.

Referring to the importance of Irancell digital services for organizations and companies, he concluded that Irancell Digital Services had provided services to its subscribers in content, entertainment, and education, providing individuals and organizations with services and products.

The fourteenth year of the Irancell telecommunications company establishment was held on Tuesday in Tehran in the press's presence.

On 28 July, MTN-Irancell has inaugurated the experimental 5th generation internet with a download speed of 1.5 Gbps in Tehran, Iran’s capital, which has high applications in various fields.
