Shamkhani Basis of US policy is to create chaos, insecurity

Tehran (IP)- Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), stressed that the basis of US policy is to create chaos and insecurity; it does not matter if the target is Afghanistan or Iraq.

Iran PressIran news: The Chairman of Afghanistan's High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR), who is visiting Tehran, met with Ali Shamkhani, Representative of the Supreme Leader and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, to discuss bilateral and regional issues.

On Sunday (October 18th), Abdullah arrived in Tehran on a three-day visit to hold talks with senior Iranian officials led by a high-level political and economic delegation.

He has met with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, and Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian.

During the meeting, Shamkhani explained the United States' destructive policies in the West Asian region and said: "The basis of American policy is to create chaos and insecurity; it does not matter if the target is Afghanistan or Iraq.

Referring to the role of the United States establishing terrorist groups such as ISIS, he said: "The only way to stay safe from such dangerous traps of the United States is to resist and unity and cohesion; the path that great martyrs such as Lt Gen Ghasem Soleimani and Ahmad Shah Massoud have shown us."

The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council called the inter-Afghan dialogue, the preservation of the republic, the rights of ethnic groups and religions, and also the observance of the constitution as key and very effective components in establishing lasting stability and security in Afghanistan and added: "The US has sought to undermine key components of stabilization in Afghanistan."

Shamkhani noted: "Iran has practically maintained good neighborliness and the right of neighborliness during the last 40 years and expects the officials of Afghanistan with unity and empathy not to allow the infiltration and implementation of sinister plans of foreigners to create differences between the two countries."

In the meeting, Abdullah Abdullah, appreciating Iran's support for Afghanistan, mentioned expanding relations as one of his country's foreign policy principles and priorities.

Presenting a report on the latest developments in the Afghan peace process, he said: "The establishment of lasting peace and security in the country has an effective role in maintaining security and stability in the region."
