2nd round of talks between Iran, Ukraine on plane crash held

Tehran (IP) - The second round of talks between the Iranian and Ukrainian delegations on the plane crash was held at the Foreign Ministry in technical, legal, and judicial areas.

Iran PressIran news: Yesterday, the Ukrainian negotiating team arrived in Tehran, and bilateral talks have been started today morning and the talks will last until October 20.

The first round of talks was held on July 30-31, 2020, under the supervision of deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Mohsen Baharvand, in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Baharvand heading the Iranian delegation in the second round too.

According to Baharvand, three technical meetings will be held in this round of talks.

One of these meetings is about the technical discussions that the aviation organization will conduct, the other will be about the legal issues that the judiciary is in charge of, and the third one is about legal issues which are about the amount of compensation for individuals and aircraft.

Baharvand added: "After the three groups met, a public meeting will be held in which I and my Ukrainian counterpart, as well as all the groups that negotiated, will participate."
