Iran Press/Iran news: Chief of Staff of Iranian President Mahmoud Vaezi called the development of relations between Tehran and Baku in line with the wishes of the two nations and the common interests of the two governments, and while respecting the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, stressed that Iran is ready to play a more active role in resolving the disputes between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Mahmoud Vaezi on Wednesday, in a telephone conversation with Shahin Mustafayev, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasized that Tehran welcomes Baku's suggestion of Iran, Russia and Turkey playing a more active and prominent role in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Vaezi called on the governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia to maintain their ceasefire and resolve their differences through dialogue and within the framework of international law and respect for the recognized borders and territorial integrity of the two countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan also said that Azerbaijan wants to develop Tehran-Baku cooperation in all areas of interest.
Shahin Mustafayev also presented a report on the process of conflict, stressing that Baku wants Iran, Russia and Turkey to play a more active and prominent role in resolving the region's problems.
