Iran, Qatar agree to hold Joint Cooperation Commission in Tehran

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Energy and Qatar's Minister of Industry and Trade agreed to hold the seventh meeting of the Joint Cooperation Commission of the two countries in Tehran by the end of the current Iranian year (starting on March 21).

Iran Press/Iran news: In their virtual meeting on Wednesday, Iran's Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian and Qatar's Minister of Industry and Trade Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari stressed further expansion of bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries. 

Welcoming the further development of Iran-Qatar trade relations, Ardakanian and al-Kuwari also stressed the need for negotiations to determine the cooperation subject and the way to operationalize them.

They also agreed that the seventh meeting of the Joint Cooperation Commission of the two countries will be held in Tehran by the end of the current year, in which a memorandum of understanding approved by the two countries will be signed and further development of trade relations will be facilitated.

The Qatari Minister of Industry and Trade for his part invited the Iranian Minister of Energy to visit Doha.
