Iran Press/ Iran News: Iran's Ambassador to Tokyo, Morteza Rahmani Movahed at the ceremony, referring to the successful and continuous scientific and research efforts and cooperation between prominent Iranian and Japanese professors and researchers, called the contribution of Japanese Iranologists in introducing Iran's various cultural and historical aspects and works valuable and effective.
Professor Kondo Nobuaki also thanked the Farabi Foundation and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Japan and expressed hope that the scientific cooperation between the two countries would be further developed.
At the end of the ceremony, a plaque of appreciation of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani, along with other certificates of appreciation of the Farabi Foundation, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the Secretariat of Islamic Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) was awarded to Professor Kondo Nobuaki.
Kondo Nobuaki is a distinguished professor at the Institute for Persian and African Languages Research at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, an Iranologist, and a manuscript researcher.
Numerous works and researches have been published by this professor, the most important of which is "A selection of Persian documents," which was published in 2003.
"Farabi International Festival" is held annually by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran in cooperation with two international organizations, UNESCO and ISESCO, and some important scientific and research centers of Iran.
The theme of this festival is to appreciate the research in the field of humanities and Islamic sciences.
