Kuwait's new Crown Prince Meshaal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah vows in parliament that his country will abide by its regional and international commitments.

Iran Press/Middle East: Meshaal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah was sworn in on Thursday, in the Kuwaiti National Assembly (Parliament).

After taking the oath, he said that Kuwait will continue on its path and takes the lead as a country based on the constitution and the principles of democracy.

Kuwait’s new crown prince stated that his country would abide by all its commitments in the Persian Gulf, the region, and the international community.

The new emir of Kuwait, Nawaf al-Ahmad, yesterday elected his brother Meshaal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah as the country's new crown prince.
