US seeks sedition in Iraq, says cleric

Iraq (IP) - The representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iraq called the US goal of continuing its presence in Iraq 'sedition' and stressed the right of Iraqi people to oppose the continuation of the US occupation in Iraq.

Iran PressMiddle East: Ayatollah Mojtaba Hosseini, the Representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, stated in an interview with Al-Nujaba TV today (Sunday) that the interests of the Iraqi people are to get out of foreign domination.

"Iraq should unite against the enemy and put aside internal political conflicts," he stressed.

Ayatollah Hosseini pointed to the special attention of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to the Iraqi people and expressed that Ayatollah Khamenei considers the two nations of Iran and Iraq and the interests of the two countries as one and never believes in separation between the two nations.

The representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iraq also condemned the process of normalization of relations of the UAE and Bahrain with Israel, saying that the Iraqi people and government are strongly opposed to any compromise with the criminal regime.
