Tehran (IP): Deputy Navy Commander for Coordination Hamze Ali Kaviani stated that after the Sacred Defense, the operational range of the Iranian Navy has extended to the northern Indian Ocean and the High Seas.

Iran Press/Iran News: Deputy Navy Commander for Coordination Admiral Hamze Ali Kaviani said at a ceremony honoring the veterans of the Sacred Defense in Tehran that during the Sacred Defense, the operational range of the Iranian Navy was the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and part of the Oman Sea, but today this operational range has extended to the northern Indian Ocean and the High Seas.

Stating that the eight years of Sacred Defense was like a university that taught the Iranians how to stand on their own feet, Admiral Kaviani added that today a diverse range of defense equipment and weapons such as missiles and other equipment are produced domestically.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei, in a meeting with the Minister, officials, researchers, and experts of the Ministry of Defense of Iran on August 31, 2016, considered the increase of the defense and offensive capability as the inalienable right of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
