Husam Badran

Husam Badran, a member of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), blamed the 'Deal of Century' and anti-Palestinian actions but emphasized that those actions have brought Palestinian groups closer together.

Iran Press /Middle East: Emphasizing that the Palestinian resistance should be activated under the united leadership, Husam Badran praised the recent meetings between Fatah and Hamas members in Turkey.

"The Fatah and Hamas movements have agreed on a comprehensive outlook and will soon share it with other groups," stated Badran.

To speed up the reconciliation process, representatives of the Fatah and Hamas Palestinian factions began talks in Istanbul, Turkey, on Tuesday.

At the end of the Istanbul Summit, the Fatah and Hamas movements issued a statement calling for continued efforts to defend the rights and interests of the Palestinian people and to face the threats and challenges of advancing the Palestinian cause until the realization of freedom and independence and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. 

On January 28, 2020, US President Donald Trump unveiled the American plan called the 'Deal of the Century' at a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu along with the presence of some Arab ambassadors.
