Kabul (IP)- Iran's commercial attaché in Afghanistan said that the economic cooperation between the two countries is shifting from the trade sector to a higher level, namely in the technical-engineering field.

Iran Press/Asia: On the sidelines of the opening of the specialized Iranian exhibition in Kabul, in an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Mohammad Mahdi Javanmard stated that Iran's economic-commercial delegation has traveled to Afghanistan to transfer knowledge to Afghanistan and establish joint companies in technical, engineering, urban services, after 25 years.

The commercial attaché stated that an excellent specialized exhibition is tacking place in Kabul and that finally, contracts to be signed between Iran and Afghanistan in the technical and engineering sectors.

Stating that Iran and Afghanistan have good cooperation in the field of export of goods, Javanmard added that now is the time to transfer experience and technical knowledge related to technical and engineering services in various areas of energy to Afghanistan.

The first specialized and joint exhibition of Iran and Afghanistan is underway for three days (September 22-24, 2020) in Kabul, the capital of this country.

A delegation of 150 Iranians consists of businessmen and officials from the Ministry of Energy, as well as members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, attended the opening ceremony of the first joint Iranian-Afghan exhibition in Kabul on Tuesday.

It is a joint specialized exhibition of Iran and Afghanistan in technology and engineering services of energy, electricity, and telecommunications, and urban services, 21 Iranian companies in urban services and 54 Iranian companies in technical and engineering services are present in the Kabul exhibition.
