Khaled al-Batsh

Middle East (IP) - Khaled al-Batsh, a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ), called the start of the armed resistance in the West Bank, a response to Israel crimes.

Iran PressMiddle East: In an interview with the Yemeni TV channel Almasirah on Saturday, the senior member of PIJ called Palestine the main issue of the Islamic Ummah and expressed that the haste of some Arab countries to normalize relations with Israel would not affect the issue.

The official stated that some Arab countries, such as Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, are following US orders, and that if Saudi Arabia seeks to normalize relations with the Israeli regime, it will be in line with the enemies of the Palestinian cause.

Al-Batsh stressed the Palestinian people's tenets and readiness to confront the Israeli enemy in the West Bank and Gaza, adding that the firing of resistance rockets at the signing of the UAE-Bahrain compromise agreement with Israel showed that the war was in Palestine and that armed resistance should begin in the West Bank.

He highlighted that when Israeli enemy bases reached the southern Yemeni province of Socotra, it meant that direct clashes had begun with the Axis of Resistance.

Israel intends to establish spy bases in cooperation with the UAE on the strategic island of Socotra in Yemen, which overlooks the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
