Iran emphasizes need to implement Idlib agreement

Tehran (IP): Iran's Foreign Minister's Senior Assistant in Special Political Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji discussed issues related to Idlib, the Syrian Constitutional Committee, and the difficult humanitarian situation in the country in a telephone conversation with Geir Pedersen.

Iran Press/Iran news: Ali Asghar Khaji on Wednesday called Geir Pedersen, United Nations Special Envoy for Syria to discuss the need to implement the Idlib agreement in order to maintain peace and prevent the recurrence of tensions.

During the talks, the two sides reiterated their support for advancing the political process and the continuation of the work of the Syrian Constitutional Committee.

Pedersen and Khaji called on the international community to help the Syrian people, citing the difficult humanitarian situation, especially in the context of the Corona outbreak.
