Zarif and Jaishankar discuss mutual ties, regional cooperation in Tehran

Tehran (IP) - Iranian and Indian Foreign Ministers, Mohammad Javad Zarif, and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Tuesday discussed mutual cooperation and ties in a meeting in Tehran.

Iran PressIran News: In this meeting also the latest regional and global developments were reviewed by two top diplomats.

Jaishankar is to visit Russia to attend a foreign ministerial meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Earlier this week, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh met with Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami.

According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh during the Iranian FM and his Indian counterpart, the two sides emphasized the expansion of the bilateral ties in all aspects.

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar arrived in Tehran to meet with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif before traveling to Russia.

The Indian Foreign Minister's visit to Tehran is after the unexpected visit of the Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh to Tehran and a meeting with the Minister of Defense Amir Hatami.
