Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami stated that although Iran's enemy has sought to eliminate it from the transit cycle altogether with the strategy of zeroing Iran's transactions, the country will continue to succeed in maintaining its transit.

Iran Press/Iran news: Answering the question by Iran Press on the importance of activating the Iran-Europe railway through Turkey, Eslami stated: "Naturally, both historically and economically, the Silk Road route that passes through Iran has always had many advantages that have led to selecting this route from the past to the present."

He added: "Although our enemy has sought to eliminate Iran from the transit cycle altogether, thank God, with the measures that have been taken and with the infrastructure that has been created, and also with the developments that we are planning, these evil goals will not be met and we will continue to succeed in maintaining our transit."

"Despite the current situation of the pandemic, the enemies tried to reduce our transit. But by activating the railways and creating more coordination, we were able to maintain and improve the transit of 10 million tons per year that we already had," Eslami noted.
