Head of the Political and Military Research Center in Russia said that the agreement between Tehran and the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect two places in Iran took away US excuses for action against JCPOA and Iran from the United States.

Iran Press/Europe: In an interview on Saturday, Vladimir Batyuk, Head of the Political and Military Research Center, Institute for the US and Canadian Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said: "Iran's agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency to provide the IAEA access to two nuclear sites was a step in the right direction that would ease tensions over Iran's nuclear program."

Batyuk blamed US coercion at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the misuse of alleged studies related to the period before Iran cooperation with the IAEA, which led to Tehran's opposition regarding inspecting the two nuclear sites.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, at the end of the two-day visit of Rafael Grossi, to Tehran and holding talks with our officials, in a joint statement announced the settlement of the issues identified by the IAEA.

According to this statement, Iran voluntarily gave access to the agency so that it facilitates the verification activities of the international body to settle the issues.

The statement added: "Based on an analysis of information available to the International Atomic Energy Agency, the agency has no further questions from Iran and no request for access to locations beyond what has been stated by Iran under the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement and the Additional Protocol."
