Tehran (IP) - Iran's Energy Minister stated that the country has implemented its commitments in electricity export and earned hard currency during the time of imposed sanctions.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking during a press conference held on the occasion of government week, Reza Ardakanian on Monday added: "Taking advantage of energy efficiency, Iran will be self-sufficient in technical needs, equipment and currency."

He stated: "Energy efficiency enabled big industries to sell their products at the international market during this period of international sanctions."

The Iranian official went on to say: "Energy efficiency leads to support production sectors, and provide water and electricity needs in the 'Surge in Production' year.

The Minister of Energy reiterated: "This year, with the aim of appreciating low-consumption subscribers, a 100% discount plan will be applied on the bills of these subscribers."

Ardakanian highlighted: "The implementation of this project will be operational in the form of the 'Electricity of Hope' project to both appreciate low-consumption subscribers and encourage others to consume less."    104/207
