Commemoration ceremony of Muharram held in New York

The Commemoration ceremony of Muharram was held in New York, with mourners from different countries took part in the ceremony.

Iran PressAmerica: This year, like previous years, Shia Muslims were able to raise the flag of Aba Abdollah al-Hussein (third Imam of Shia Muslims) for one day by getting permission, and hold a mourning ceremony in the streets. 

Mourners from different countries took part in this ceremony. They mourned for Imam Hossein, and the gathering became an opportunity to share the teachings of Imam Hossein with New Yorkers. 

This day is called Hossein's Day in New York. Free masks and vowed foods were also given at the ceremony. 

According to statistics, there are at least 2 million Shias living in the United States.     104/207
