Armenian archbishop condoles passing away of advisor to Iran leader

Tehran(IP) - The archbishop of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran sent a message of condolences over the passing away of a senior advisor to the leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Iran Press/Iran News: Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Taskhiri, former secretary-general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and the senior advisor to the leader of the Islamic Revolution on Islamic world affairs, who was hospitalized due to a heart failure, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 76.

Sepuh Sargsyan, archbishop of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran, said in a message on Monday: "During his prolific life, Ayatollah Taskhshiri rendered invaluable services for thinking and creating understanding among different religions in Iran."

The message added: "Ayatollah Taskhiri, while having a very close and deep relationship with the Armenian Christians of Iran, practically proved his deep friendship by attending various international forums for many years."
