Tehran (IP) - Deputy Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Abbas Moqtadaei-Khorasgani said that not only anti-Iran actions violate international law, but they are also of no values in the international arena.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Moqtadaei-Khorasani added that the failure of US resolution on Iran's arms embargo in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is a sign of US isolation in the world.

Referring to the fact that the US actions against Iran violate international law and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he stated that the world opposes the US unilateralism.

Deputy Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission stressed: "The UN Security Council has its own mechanism, and the United States will once again fail to take action against Iran."

One of the US goals is harassment of the Iranian nation to stop their development, but Iran continues to move forward for development, Moqtadaei-Khorasani added.

The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday said that the US plan to reinstate sanctions on Iran via the so-called 'snapback' mechanism linked to an international nuclear deal will "go nowhere".

The United States had threatened to use the sanctions snapback provision in the nuclear deal after it lost a bid in the Security Council on Friday to extend an arms embargo on Tehran, which is due to expire in October.
