Qalibaf congratulates resistance victory on anniversary of 33-day war

In separate messages, the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament congratulated the Secretary-General of the Hezbollah Movement and the Speaker of the Lebanese Assembly on the anniversary of the victory of the resistance in the 33-day war.

Iran Press/Iran News: The 33-day war between the Israeli army and Lebanese Hezbollah forces began on July 12, 2006, and ended on August 14 of that year with the victory of Lebanese Hezbollah.

The Zionist regime withdrew from this war with heavy losses.

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, in a message to the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, released on Sunday, noted that Zionist officials are still recounting the nightmare of defeat and the horrors of the 33-day war. Undoubtedly, this war changed the military-political equations in the region and is a brilliant turning point in the history of the Islamic Resistance.

In another message to Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Qalibaf congratulated the resistance on the anniversary of the 33-day war, saying:  "This is a proud victory that was achieved in the light of divine blessings, solidarity, and unity of Lebanese leaders and thanks to the courage and sacrifice of the resistance martyrs, it is the pride of the Islamic world."

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran added: "Undoubtedly, the victory of the Lebanese resistance is a turning point and a golden chapter in the history of the region's struggles and the brutal defeat of the army of the occupying regime in Quds."
