Gen Baqeri: UAE should reconsider its relations with Zionist regime

The Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said that the UAE should reconsider its relationship with the Zionist regime and should not continue to move on the path that is detrimental to the security of the region.

Iran Press/Iran News: Referring to the latest developments in the region and the agreement between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv to normalize relations, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Baqeri, Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, said at a meeting of "Armed Forces Commanders and National Media Managers" in Tehran on Sunday that the situation in which all the free people of the world express hatred and avoidance toward establishing relations and friendship with the Zionist regime, one of the neighbors of the Islamic Republic brazenly declares its ties with the child-killing regime, which is unfortunate.

He added: "For the UAE, as an Arab and Muslim country, such a relationship is not acceptable at all, to establish a political and economic relationship with the regime which is objecting toward the first qibla of Muslims, and displaced and killed the Palestinian people, and to declare it publicly."

The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran stressed that the Islamic Republic's approach to the UAE will change fundamentally.

He added: "If something happens in the Persian Gulf region and the national security of the Islamic Republic is threatened, though, to the very small degree, the Iranian armed forces will be held the UAE responsibly and will not tolerate it."
