Turkey may suspend ties with UAE over Israel deal

Turkey's president said Ankara is considering closing its embassy in Abu Dhabi and suspending diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates over its accord to normalize ties with Israel.

Iran PressAsia: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an was speaking to reporters on Friday in Istanbul after the Turkish Foreign Ministry said history will never forgive the “hypocritical behavior” of the UAE in agreeing such a deal, Reuters reported.

After Donald Trump's relentless efforts to facilitate the normalization of relations between the UAE and the Zionist regime, the two sides reached an agreement on Thursday over the full normalization of diplomatic relations.

The agreement between the Zionist regime and the UAE provoked strong protests from Palestinian resistance groups, who strongly condemned the US-cooked deal.

The agreement is supposed to be signed in the coming days in the presence of military officials from both sides at the White House.

The joint statement by the UAE, Israel, and the US said: “Opening direct ties between two of the Middle East’s most dynamic societies and advanced economies will transform the region by spurring economic growth, enhancing technological innovation and forging closer people-to-people relations.”
