The statement from the Palestinian Authority said: "The UAE's action is a betrayal of Beit-ul-Moqaddas, the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the issue of Palestine, and means recognizing Beit-ul-Moqaddas as the capital of Israel."

The Palestinian Authority has also called on Arab leaders not to succumb to US pressure and not to follow in the footsteps of the United Arab Emirates.

The Palestinian Authority has emphasized that the UAE or any other party has no right to speak on behalf of the Palestinian people, and no one is allowed to interfere in the affairs of Palestine or in the legitimate rights of this nation.

The Palestinian Authority calls on the international community to adhere to international law, and international resolutions as a fundamental principle for resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

On the other hand, the Palestinian Authority announced that it had recalled its ambassador to the United Arab Emirates following Abu Dhabi's attempt to normalize relations with the Zionist regime.

The joint statement by the UAE, Israel, and the US said: “Opening direct ties between two of the Middle East’s most dynamic societies and advanced economies will transform the region by spurring economic growth, enhancing technological innovation and forging closer people-to-people relations.”
