Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi and Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova discussed via video conferencing this evening the ways to expand cooperation between the two countries in the field of media and counter the unrealistic atmosphere created by Western countries.

Iran Press/Iran News: In this conversation, the two sides rejected the claims of Western countries about the impartiality and independence of the media, stating that unfortunately, the media in the West have now become a tool for psychological war and spreading untrue news against independent countries.

Referring to the development of relations between the two countries at all levels and in all fields, the two sides described the closeness and common stance of the two countries on various issues, including opposition to severe Western sanctions and regional cooperation, as an opportunity for closer cooperation.

Exchanging media delegations and providing a platform for the exchange of views between the media of the two countries, facilitating the media interviews for the officials of both sides and continuing the bilateral consultations of the Foreign Ministry spokesmen with the Foreign Ministry spokespersons of other friendly, like-minded countries were among other topics discussed by Foreign Ministry spokespersons of Iran and Russia.
