Shiraz (IP) - An exhibition on the 8-year Iran-Iraq war is underway in Holy Defense Museum Garden of Shiraz, the capital of Fars province located in southern Iran. In this exhibition, the role of different military units during the war is showcased.

Iran PressIran News: This exhibition is held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of beginning of war between Iran and Iraq, displaying some parts of Iranian forces' epic efforts confronting former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hossein's Ba'athist regime.

The gallantry shown during these years of imposed war is so precious that today the people of Iran pay tribute to the martyrs and other veterans' names.  

"The memory of the martyrs shows the way and it is promising for the country," according to the Leader of Iran remarks.

In other words, the name of the martyrs depicted in the streets of cities and villages gives hope and pride to each and every Iranian, especially the youth, to have a powerful and secure country. 207
