Kabul bomb blast

Two Afghan civilians were killed in a bomb blast in the capital, Kabul.

Iran Press/Asia: A bomb blast in western Kabul on Sunday injured five Afghan policemen, Kabul police spokesman Ferdows Faramarz said.

The blast coincided with the last day of the Loya Jirga meeting of the Afghan Peace Consultative Assembly, which had been held under heavy security in Kabul for the past three days.

Members of the Afghan Peace Advisory Loya Jirga today, after three days of deliberating on the final resolution, upheld the affirmative vote of the Loya Jirga working committees to release the remaining 400 Taliban prisoners.
