The UN Special Rapporteur, Agnès Callamard condemned again the assassination of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani in a report, calling it a violation of international laws.

Iran PressAmerica: The report stated that the assassination of former IRGC Quds Force Commander Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani was an escalation of tension and a clear example of an arbitrary murder.

Callamard reconfirmed that the US government is responsible for the assassination of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, underlying that If this act happened in a Western country, it would be certainly considered as a military action, and it would lead to a tough response.

She also reaffirmed that there is no evidence about Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani's plan for attacking US positions.

Callamard has also said in her report that the US government has violated Iraqi territorial integrity by assassinating Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
