Al-Kazemi meets UN special representative to Iraq

The Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi met with the UN special representative to Iraq Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert discussing various issues, including the holding of early elections in the country.

Iran Press/Middle East:  The two discussed co-operation between Iraq and the United Nations and support for stability in the country, as well as early elections and preparations for its implementation at a date to be announced.

Mustafa Al-Kazemi and U.N. special representative to Iraq also discussed the security situation in Kirkuk and the Sinjar region in Ninewa Governorate, as well as other parts of Iraq, and the efforts of the UN delegation in various Iraqi provinces.
