Interior Minister, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Interior Minister said that the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Tehran is worrying and the infections are increasing.

Iran Press/Iran News: On the sideline of the social meeting on COVID-19, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, Iran's Interior Minister told Iran Press that Tehran is the center of most of the jobs and social and economic activities; therefore, observing hygienic protocols must be intensified.

It is expected that all people follow and implement health protocols seriously, he noted.

Referring to how to hold Muharram ceremonies (Imam Hossein's martyrdom rituals) based on hygienic protocols and social distancing plan, he added that all of these ceremonies can be held by observing health protocols and it needs mourners' close cooperation with the Health Ministry.

Holding the Muharram rituals perfectly based on the health protocols will show Iranians beliefs, customs, responsibilities, and regulations, stated the Minister. 

Referring to how to resume education during the COVID-19 pandemic, he added that by dividing the country into White, Yellow, and Red zones, the Education Ministry can resume its process.

Social and Disciplinary meeting on COVID-19 was held with the presence of Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, Education Minister Mohsen Haji Mirzaei, and other related officials at Ministry of Interior on Wednesday.
