Tehran (IP) - Minister of Road and Urban Development, Mohammad Eslami said that necessary actions are needed to be taken against the US terrorist government regarding the harassment for Iranian airliner.

Iran Press/Iran News: On the sideline of the ceremony to put 50 new freight wagons and locomotives into operation, Eslami responded to Iran Press question regarding the US harassment of Iranian Civilian Airliner Mahan Air.     

Iranian Minister noted that approaching a civilian aircraft is a clear violation of the Chicago Convention and all countries are required to comply with it.

 The minister reiterated that the airplane was flying in its routine route, and this aggression is condemned.

Two US fighter jets harassed Flight 1152 of Mahan Airlines in the Syrian skies, which was en route from Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport to Beirut on Thursday.

Iran Civil Aviation organization immediately expressed its protest to ICAO and called for the necessary actions to be taken against the terrorist US government, he concluded.
