Iran Press/Iran News: Issuing a statement on Saturday, Adnan Mahmoud said the US move is also a clear violation of international civil aviation laws and agreements.
Mahmoud stressed the US troops as well as other occupiers’ withdrawal from Syria, whose presence has endangered the region’s stability and security.
He stated that the aggression against the Iranian civilian plane is in line with US actions in support of terrorism and the plunder of the Syrian people's wealth.
Following US fighter jets harassing Civilian Flight 1152 of Mahan Airline over Syrian territory which was en route to Beirut from Imam Khomeini International Airport in the international airspace in the Syrian skies on Thursday 23 July, a number of passengers were injured due to the pilot's reaction to collision prevention.
The US forces have invaded the eastern regions of Syria since 2015 and have established more than 10 illegal bases in the region from the north to the south of the eastern borders of Syria.
The Syrian government has repeatedly demanded the exit of all of these forces due to their illegal presence in the country, which has ignored by the US, so far.
In the end, Syria’s envoy expressed his full solidarity with the Iranian airline passengers, some of whom were injured.
