In response to harassing an Iranian passenger plane, the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran has formally submitted a serious protest with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council and called for an immediate investigation.

Iran PressIran News: Following US fighter jets harassing Civilian Flight 1152 of Mahan Airlines over Syrian territory which was en route to Beirut from Imam Khomeini International Airport in the international airspace in the Syrian skies on Thursday 23 July, a number of passengers were injured due to the pilot's reaction to collision prevention.

After ensuring that the plane was safe after landing at Beirut airport, a decision was made to return the plane to Tehran.

The Civil Aviation Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Annex 13 of the Chicago Convention, while contacting the Syrian side, called for a speedy and accurate investigation of the incident.

Details of the incident will be released after reviewing all the technical data and information obtained based on the accident investigation process, as well as some well-documented and credible information from the Syrian civil aviation authorities.

The Civil Aviation Organization of Iran considers the action of American fighter jets in harassing the Iranian passenger plane as a clear violation of international law, aviation rules and standards, moreover, Iran officially submits its serious protest to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and demands an urgent investigation.

Mahan Airlines Airbus A310, which was threatened by American fighter jets in the Syrian skies on Thursday night, was forced to lower its altitude and made an emergency landing at Beirut airport. He continued to Imam Khomeini Airport and landed safely at Imam Khomeini Airport at around 3 o'clock in the morning.
